Precious Mateo, your First Year Collective has been such a treat, and I’m so excited to share just a snippet of how wonderful you are! From maternity to first year, I’ve been so blessed to watch Mateo grow into the sweetest, most adorable little boy.
What is The First-Year Collective?
The First Year Collective is one of my favorite offerings for clients. It’s a beautiful and seamless way to document all those special memories and milestones throughout your baby’s first year cohesively and beautifully.
From scheduling your maternity or newborn session to documenting their first glimpses of independence, we will photograph your baby and family timelessly.
Mateo’s Milestones
I’ve known Mateo’s parents, Kevin and Laura, since their wedding in 2017. I had the beautiful honor of being the one to photograph that special day for them. I was so thrilled they came back to document this exciting new chapter with us!
We started on the beach for their first session, a place that means so much to them. We had the best time documenting their journey to parenthood under cotton candy colored skies.
For Mateo’s newborn session, they joined me at our Newport Beach studio for some of the snuggliest newborn photos! Kevin and Mateo have such a sweet bond; seeing it throughout their sessions has been so lovely!
We also had the best time during his one-year milestone and cake smash. He was a little hesitant at first, as some babies can be, but by the end of his session, he loved the icing.
For all of their sessions, Laura mentioned how much she enjoyed our full-service model’s perks. For them, it included four appointments with Shanon (our in-house hair and makeup artist) and four dresses she didn’t have to buy, shopping right from our Client Wardrobe instead!
This crew lives in San Diego and has so many talented photographers within reach, so it meant so much for them to commit to four sessions over one year. I’ve loved every moment!
