I have been so lucky to watch this family grow year after year. Nothing beats having clients become friends and having them entrust you with some of their most treasured seasons.
It also makes for easy and laid-back sessions. Kiddos who are familiar with their photographer typically take less time to warm up to the camera, and the whole crew usually knows the way sessions flow. It really makes photographing families and capturing them such a joy when you know how to make little ones smile. I will do almost anything for a laugh, and my clients know my boy jokes by heart.

Mama styled her whole family for their session and did an amazing job. I love how well they perfectly coordinate without being too matchy-matchy. You can tell she’s also done this a time or two. Their wardrobe was also perfect for the setting of their backyard!
Choosing outfits for your family is not just about color matching. It’s also important to consider texture and layering to add more dimension to your wardrobe. You’ll also want to choose colors that complement each other instead of everyone wearing the same color.
I love how Mama chose something with a bit more pattern for herself and Dad and put the boys in matching outfits. Choosing your materials well is also important, especially when planning for a hot summer day or a chilly winter session.
