This week, we are bringing you something different, but only in terms of the final edits! A moment of appreciation is certainly in order for the classic black and white portraits. and the darling faces in each. Working as the Pegasus Day School photographer during their fundraiser in Newport Beach is something we always look forward to. This year was so much fun!

You all know that here at HHP, we love any opportunity to give back to our local community. It’s so important to our entire team to be grateful for what we have and to give our time and talents when possible. That’s why volunteering for this special event and why it meant so much to us.

When the chair of their annual fundraiser for Pegasus Masterpieces reached out in the fall about making this event come to life, I was thrilled to help. Over our two-day event, each student visited the studio. Over 70 families participated in the event. Each student and their framed masterpieces will be displayed at their annual gala later this spring.

Black and White Portraits

We loved photographing all of these sweet faces, and the sibling connection was so fun. The all black and white portraits feel so timeless, and we love how they turned out. Shooting with the intention of portraits being all black and white also adds a certain authenticity to portraiture that I love experimenting with.

Everyone had such an amazing time during the event, and we loved hosting these precious families during a busy but amazing two days in our Newport Beach studio. We can hardly wait for the next event with this wonderful school and are so honored they asked us to be involved in fundraising for them.
