Here at HHP, we are constantly looking for ways to support our local community, and one of the ways we do that is by being a member of the National Charity League Jrs. One of the charities that we fundraise for each year is the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
I was honored to have the opportunity to give back to a family who has endured the heartbreak and devastating news that their small child had cancer. Meeting this family was such a gift. I was so inspired by their family and loved meeting them. Here is a little of their story and a few snippets from their PCRF family portrait session.
PCRF Family Portrait Session | Granting Wishes
Meet Caleb and his beautiful family. Caleb received a diagnosis two years ago after being unwell at Thanksgiving. After a few days of not feeling like himself, they made their way to the ER, where they received the news that doctors had discovered a brain tumor.
This Christmas, PCRF was granting wishes to families, and his mother, Jeannie, wished for family portraits since it had been many years since they had taken photos. It was such an honor to capture these memories for them. Caleb was a rockstar, and although it was very taxing for him, he had the best attitude.
Their family exudes happiness even though they have faced such hard times, and it was so touching to be able to help them document these special memories with Caleb.

The Newport coast is always so generous with its sunshine and mild climate, and this evening couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun really showed up for us and delivered the most amazing glow.
For many reasons, these portraits of Caleb and his parents will always be some of my favorite portraits. As a mom, I can only imagine what this precious family has endured. I’m so blessed now to know them and their brave and courageous Caleb!
