The last five years in my business have been all about bringing you the most beautiful images possible while also giving you the best experience. One of the ways we achieve this is through creative shoots in our studio. This fine art maternity boudoir session might be one of my favorites I’ve ever done. Exploring new ideas, posing and edits.
As a photographer, creative test shoots are pivotal for testing new ideas and honing our styles. Often, we discover new ways of shooting and want to try them out before offering them to clients or just to see what we like from what we’ve learned. What to keep, and what to toss.
It’s also a great way to stretch our legs creatively without pressure to deliver the final outcome to our clients. Not that we don’t love delivering for all of you, we do!
Test shoots are also a fun way of creating just for us, which can sometimes feel like a luxury during the busy months. This session was definitely a breath of fresh air, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite portraits with you!
Fine Art Maternity Boudoir Session | Newport Beach, California
Meet Tawni. She’s a mama to three beautiful boys with a mystery baby on the way.
Tawni was so wonderful and gave me complete creative control over the session. For this session, I wanted to push myself to create something new to mark a new direction for 2024.
Inspired by Elizabeth Messina after studying her newest course, I felt a renewal for possibilities, and my creative cup was so full after this session. This session is the result!
It would be a dream for my maternity clients to trust me so fully to create art with them like this. If this sounds like you, be sure to reach out. I would love to create something special with you during this new season!
