This Newport Beach newborn session was such a treat! I was able to sneak these guys in at the last minute, and I’m so glad to have met them. They were the sweetest and most beautiful couple and were over the moon in love with their new baby! I could have kept photographing these three all morning long.
A Newport Beach Maternity Session
I very rarely have the ability to book clients on a last-minute basis. But, as luck would have it, Justin and Maria got in touch just at the right time!
They met me at the studio to celebrate the birth of their precious firstborn, Austin. They even brought their first fur baby along for the adventure. He was such a good big brother and watched over Austin the whole session.
Baby Austin was a dream boat. He was so snuggly and easily let me pose him for a few solo portraits. He loved how cozy and warm the studio was and slept through most of our session.
Planning Their Newborn Session
To plan our session, Maria and I jumped on a call to align our calendars for a suitable date. We also lined up hair and makeup with my favorite stylist Shanon. While Maria is already such a natural beauty, I love offering new mamas this special time to relax and take it all in.
I also usually plan a styling consult with clients before each session, but we weren’t able to sneak one in due to time. It was no surprise after chatting with Maria when her crew walked through my door picture-frame-ready for their close-up! I was ecstatic!
We quickly chatted and selected a wardrobe from the client’s closet. I offer all of my clients this service so you can skip the stress of shopping for the whole family. Over the years, I’ve curated a collection in all shapes and styles to help you skip the last-minute returns that can sometimes come with pulling together a wardrobe before portrait sessions.
For their gallery review, we were even able to zoom while they were traveling! While it wasn’t the “typical” experience, working with them has been such a fun experience!
