This Orange County maternity session was light-filled and absolutely beautiful for some of my favorite returning clients. As always, I had the best time with this precious family. I’m beyond thrilled to share a snippet from their session to celebrate their growing family!
The Storybook Collective
Matt & Emily are two of the most wonderful people, and I was thrilled when they reached out about doing a second round as Storybook Collective clients after their second IVF.
We had the most amazing time getting to know each other with their first baby, Calvin, and fell right back into our usual rhythm for our first session for the new baby’s collective.
We booked this session right around the 34 week mark for Mama, which is the perfect window for a maternity session. I always encourage clients to schedule their sessions between 28-34 weeks when they’re likely feeling their best during pregnancy.
Orange County Maternity Session
They live in Seal Beach, just twenty-five minutes north of my studio, so Emily met there so Shanon, my H&MU, could get her dolled up for the session.
We started the session with Mama at Crystal Cove in Newport Beach while waiting for her husband and son to arrive. We had the best chatting about motherhood and how thrilled they are to welcome this new baby soon.
When choosing our location, Emily told me how much Calvin loves water and was a little nervous about being at the beach. Calvin is a busy little boy, and as soon as we put him on the sand, he fell face-first into the shore break. We laughed and laughed some more and had the most wonderful time documenting this time for them! We embraced the adventure, and I hope they cherish these memories and portraits forever.
