Today, we are taking a journey back to Lilly’s six-month milestone session. Our studio has over a year and a half of backlogged Maternity, Newborn & Family sessions (embarrassing!) As we take this unexpected break from documenting new clients, the blog will be brought up to speed.
Business Confession
As a business owner, I am constantly looking to “find the time.” When your the photographer, editor, accountant, HR, office manager, the job of publicist often falls to the end of a never-ending to-do list. Sessions quickly pile up in our busy studio. Maternity, newborns & milestone sessions quickly find their way to our Instagram but… finding the time to blog them has been the most challenging.
Its almost embarrassing how little attention this space has gotten over the last eighteen months, but I have over a year’s worth of beautiful sessions to share with you all over the next few weeks.
Starting where we left off
Today starting with where I left off, with baby Lilly. My one-year membership clients are truly so special to me. I only take a limited number of clients who commit to documenting their babies whole first year of life with 3 or 4 sessions over the course of 18 months. At the end of the year, my clients have the ultimate family heirloom that many of them choose to showcase in a library of albums highlighting each milestone.
I love getting to see all the tiny nuances of change with each additional session. Documenting every little detail that a mother would want to freeze and fondly look back to remember. Their faces slowly turn into toddlers and hearing them go from babbling babies to opinionated toddlers is such a delight.
